The duo of demon and seasoned demon buster strolled quietly down the roads of Ueno towards Souhonzan uneventfully. Not even taking the time to run, they walked. Her boots dug into the ground deeply and his soundlessly made their way around, strutting behind her, ready to guard her at a moments notice. 'Hey Oku...', Mir called out to her demon. The humanoid lifted his eyes from the ground and met his masters. Wind whipped at their backs and they stared at each other quietly. The demon was extremely put off by the sudden change in his masters attitude but continued to look at her. The hatred she based her life on no longer glittered behind those colorless eyes. Pain began to burn at his chest, tugging at his insides, ripping him apart. Whatever it takes, I'll protect you, Mir. He suddenly felt his master become concerned about him and lifted his eyes to the stars to evade her gaze. The demon lowered his eyes to the demon buster that looked up at him with glittering eyes. 'Good God you're short, Miri', the demon joked. 'WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY, OKU!?" the demon buster lashed at him. She grabbed hold of the demons powerful arm and tugged him the opposite way. 'But, aren't we going to Souhonzan to report to Doukan?' the demon asked, hoping to make her pite down...Pite lower, really... 'We're going to Shinjuku Babel. Pronto,' she answered, resuming to her tugging. 'And for what are we going to Babel?', the demon mused. 'I'm buying a floatie-floatie thingy mabobber. That way, you can stop looking down at me...' she replied incomprehensibly. 'You mean something to make you float...like an abyss cloak or something? Good luck with that making you taller...', the demon cooed. 'Shut your foul chaos mouth. Replacing you is still a nice and very tempting option', she told him with a small push. He barely budged and grinned at that fact. The duo laughed for a bit and Oku felt as if their relationship suddenly got a lot better. He wasn't only contracted to her anymore. They were at open hearts.
As they stealthily made their way to Shinjuku Babel, Mir thought the entire way there. It disgusts me that this demon is more human than most of the damn people out there. Why the hell is he like that anyway? Are all humanoids this way? Without noticing, her pace quickened suddenly and Oku was forced to accelerate as well. He walked at her left at all times, contrary to walking behind her as he was accustomed to. His step was awkward at her side but he didn't want to retreat behind her ever again. Her eyes were rivetted to the ground, fearing falling to the ground more than the demons raging around them. They wouldn't dare attack them, she knew. Even without Oku she could shoot all of them down in a split second and another half split second to reload. Frustration grew inside her at the thought of their weakness. Inexplicably, Oku turned to his master feeling something ominous about her all of a sudden. Demonic power invaded the entire field suddenly and whacked all of the LAW demons in their vicinity back. Did she learn a new skill or something? This power...it's immense... His master fell to the ground and clutched at her head and screamed. Oku stepped back, fearing she would lash out once more. She clawed at the ground until he finally threw down his sword and tore her away. 'Wake up, Miri! Snap out of it!' the demon wailed at her. Luckily, a party of demon busters ran up to them at that very moment as he raised his eyes. He glanced at them from top to bottom, the trio was orned in blue and white robes. Damn...messians...I can't fight three veterans of them alone... He lifted his pleading eyes to them hoping for their and their Gods pardon. Two lifted their guns and another drew his blade. So much for Gods pardon. Then, as if a God send, several chaotic demons bunched around them, none of them being humanoids, he noted. Several binding and sleep spells were cast upon him yet he went to his now unconscious master. He picked up his blade and dragged it towards her. His final action then was to pull his master upon his chest before he closed his eyes, dreading to see his master and he be shredded to pieces. He clutched her against his chest as hard as he could despite the circumstances. 'I know you hate humanoids, master, and that you detest demons since the Home II tragedy, even if you had your revenge against that demon. Despite your sins, I forgive you for what you've done. Thank you for contracting me as your first and final humanoid demon', he managed to whisper in her ear. Linked not only by fate but soon by death, demon and demon buster rested against the cold dead ground.
